At our November meeting Marion Scott Baker gave us an insight into the amount of packaging waste that is generated. She then told us about the Japanese Art of Furoshiki – wrapping parcels, making bags out of fabric, which she demonstrated, then we all had a go. It was a fun evening and many members will be searching charity shops for square scarfs to wrap up parcels. The fabric or scarf can be reused by the recipient. Below is a chart which Marion has provided as a reminder on how to wrap various items.
