Our first meeting of the New Year aimed to banish the ‘January Blues’ with a very enjoyable quiz, set jointly by Wendy England and Christine Scott. Four teams assembled and after many, and varied, rounds of questions the result was a tie between ‘The Three Wise Monkeys’ and ‘The One and Only’. A tie break question broke the deadlock when the response time of ‘The One and Only’ could not be equalled by their opponents, so they emerged the winners. We are very grateful to Wendy and Christine for giving us such a stimulating evening.
The flower of the month competition was won by Shelley Garland, who had also assembled a large number of posies for the members with a January birthday.
The February meeting is due to be a ‘Willow Workshop’
